Haugtussa
Welcome to Haugtussa, a comfortable advanced base into the wilderness, right on the shore of Devddes lake. Traditional cabin life, where we light ourselves with petrol lamps and drink fresh water straight from the river!
At the heart of ancient reindeer migration routes used by the Sami people for over 6000 years, this is a fascinating area with a unique cultural heritage. In the lake itself it's possible to fish trout, arctic char and grayling.
Typical Norwegian cabin with a focus on natural materials like wood, an open floor plan and large windows. The living room has a long table, a cosy sofa and a wood stove. Perfect place to relax to the sound of the ptarmigans, while your eyes rest on the views. Separate outdoor toilet 50 meters away, with the possibility of a refreshing dip in the lake.
OVERNIGHT
The surroundings are a large part of the stay, getting close to the arctic nature, with a fantastic proximity to tundra and lakes. We recommend exploring the area during one of our dogsledding expeditions between January and April. The 2 cabins together hold a total of 7 beds.
