This is our longest and most immersive dogsled expedition.
For fifteen days, you travel through one of Europe's last great wilderness areas, far beyond roads and mobile coverage.
Every participant drives their own team of sled dogs.
No previous dogsledding experience is required—we'll teach you everything you need to know before heading into the mountains.
As the days pass, life begins to simplify. You stop checking the time and start following the rhythm of the dogs, the weather and the mountains.
Life on expedition
This is our longest and most immersive dogsled expedition: fifteen days in the Arctic wilderness, where the rhythm of the dogs, the weather and the mountains slowly becomes your own.
Every participant drives their own team of 4–6 huskies and learns to harness, feed and care for them throughout the journey. Over two weeks, you begin to understand their personalities, their energy, and the quiet cooperation that makes travelling by dog sled so special.
Each day brings a different landscape: frozen lakes, silent birch valleys, mountain passes and vast open plateaus. We travel through one of Europe's last great wilderness areas, following routes that have been used for centuries by Sámi reindeer herders. Most days, the only signs of wildlife are the tracks of reindeer, moose, foxes, ptarmigan or wolverines crossing the snow.
No two expeditions are ever quite the same. Weather and snow conditions shape our route each day, allowing us to adapt the journey while making the most of the mountains.
Nights are spent in remote mountain cabins, reindeer herder cabins or expedition tents, depending on the route and the conditions.
After a few days, the expedition no longer feels unfamiliar—it simply becomes your new rhythm.
A different rhythm
The first days are about learning. The following ones are about living the expedition.
As the days pass, you'll learn to care for your dogs, read the snow and adapt to the weather. By the end of the journey, many of these routines will feel surprisingly natural.
That's what makes fifteen days so different.
Expedition outline
Day 1 – Arrival
Arrival at Bardufoss Airport, transfer to our husky farm and welcome dinner. Meet the dogs, your guides and the rest of the group before spending your first night in our cosy log house.
Day 2 – Training & preparation
Meet your dog team, learn the basics of handling and driving a sled, and enjoy a first training run around the farm. In the afternoon, we prepare equipment, pack the sleds and brief the expedition before an early departure the following morning.
Days 3–14 – Into the wilderness
We leave the last road behind and head deep into Dividalen National Park. Each day follows the rhythm of the expedition: feeding and harnessing the dogs, travelling 4–6 hours across frozen lakes, valleys and mountain plateaus, stopping for lunch on the trail, and ending the day in remote mountain cabins or our expedition tent. The exact route evolves with the weather, snow conditions and the group. On Day 14, we return to the farm for a hot shower, a sauna and a farewell dinner.
Day 15 – Departure
Breakfast together before transfers to Bardufoss Airport or the bus station.

Getting here
Fly to Bardufoss Airport (recommended) or Tromsø Airport, with a direct bus connection to Bardufoss.
Accommodation
Three nights at our cosy husky farm (two before departure and one upon return), followed by remote mountain cabins, reindeer herder cabins or expedition camping, depending on the route and weather conditions.
Landscapes
Frozen lakes, silent birch forests, mountain valleys, high plateaus and the vast wilderness of Dividalen National Park.
Fitness
A good general level of fitness is required. You'll occasionally help your dogs uphill and brake the sled on descents, but no previous dogsledding experience is needed—we'll teach you everything along the way.
Life in the mountains
Mountain cabins are simple and shared, with wood stoves but no electricity or running water. When camping, we sleep in warm expedition tents and use winter equipment designed for Arctic conditions. Life is basic, comfortable and deeply connected to nature.

Before you travel

We recommend travelling with a duffel bag rather than a hard suitcase, as it is much easier to transport during the expedition.
Minimum age: please contact us if you wish to bring a participant under 18 years old.

Private departures may be possible on request.
Booking is confirmed upon receipt of a 20% deposit. The remaining balance is due 3 months before departure.
