Drive your own sled, winter Day Tour

Small-group dog sledding from our family-run husky farm near Tromsø. Longer trails, real Arctic atmosphere and working Alaskan huskies — far from mass tourism.

Welcome to our world of huskies

✔ Around 2 hours on the trail

✔ Drive your own sled

✔ Small groups & personal atmosphere

✔ Winter clothing included

✔ Scenic journey through Arctic landscapes

At OffTrack Experience, dog sledding is more than an activity — it is part of our everyday life.

We welcome small groups to our husky farm in Northern Norway, where you will meet our team of enthusiastic Alaskan huskies and experience the Arctic at a slower, more genuine rhythm.

Far from crowded tourist camps, we focus on long trail time, personal guiding, happy dogs, and creating meaningful moments outdoors.

Whether you visit during the blue polar light of December or under snowy mountain skies later in winter, this is a day to truly connect with nature, the dogs, and Arctic life.

What makes our tours different

Small groups & personal atmosphere

We keep our groups small to create a more relaxed, immersive and personal experience.

More time on the trail

Depending on snow and weather conditions, you will spend around 2 hours dog sledding through forests, hills and winter landscapes.

Meet real working Alaskan huskies

Our dogs are not just part of the experience — they are family, athletes and adventure companions.

Scenic Arctic surroundings

The journey to the kennel itself is beautiful, with fjords, mountains and Arctic landscapes along the way.

Homemade food around the fire

After the tour, we gather around the fire for hot drinks and a warm meal or homemade snack while the dogs rest nearby.

Your day with us

Arrival at the farm

You arrive at our kennel and are welcomed by the dogs and guides. We provide warm winter clothing if needed.

Introduction to dog sledding

Before departure, we explain how to drive the sled and work together safely with your dog team.

Into the Arctic wilderness

Two guests share one sled, switching between driving and sitting as passenger during the tour.

We travel through snowy forests, open landscapes and mountain terrain on our private trails.

Warm break by the fire

During or after the tour, we stop to enjoy hot drinks and food around the fire in a relaxed atmosphere.

Back with the dogs

After the adventure, there is time to help unharness the dogs, take photos and spend more time at the kennel.

How to get to the kennel

Many guests choose to rent a car and enjoy the scenic drive through fjords and Arctic landscapes.

For some departures, local public transport from Tromsø also works well, and we will gladly help you with detailed instructions after booking.

If you are unsure about transport options, simply contact us before booking — we are happy to help.
